It’s called Hopium Machina and it will have a range of 1,000 kilometers.

More and more manufacturers are working on mobility variants powered by hydrogen, an alternative energy that does not generate polluting emissions while driving and which also allows a much shorter refueling time than that required to recharge a vehicle one hundred percent electric.

It must be remembered that, like the latter, hydrogen cars also use one or more electric motors to move. The main difference between the two is that in hydrogen vehicles the energy does not come from a battery but from a chemical reaction between this element and oxygen.

The landing of hydrogen-based cars is even giving rise to the birth of new brands exclusively dedicated to this type of mobility. This is the case of the French company Hopium, whose initial project is a premium sports sedan called Machina that aims to become the world’s first hydrogen-powered luxury car.

Through a sleek, futuristic-looking design, the car has a distinct personality of its own. Firstly, its prominent nose and a particular grille-type grille stand out. The optics are another of its characteristic features thanks to its extremely fine shapes.

When looking at it from the side, you can see a very stylized silhouette and an athletic line of sight that give it a really dynamic image. Its showy rims of considerable dimensions are in charge of reinforcing the powerful “look” of what will become the first model of the Hopium firm.

The rear of the car maintains the overall elegance, with a bumper that mimics the design of the front grille and headlights that are just as stylish as the front ones. From a technical point of view, the French brand has not yet given many details about the vehicle but we do know some of its most significant characteristics.

So far, only two pieces of information have been reported, but the truth is that they do not exactly go unnoticed. On the one hand, it should be noted that the Hopium Machina will have a power of no less than 500 hp. But what draws even more attention is its autonomy, which will be around 1,000 kilometers.

To get an idea, therefore, this hydrogen car will allow you to go from Barcelona to Seville without having to refuel on the road and without emitting a single gram of CO2. Images of the interior have not yet been made public, but the French firm assures that it will be luxurious and sporty.

To get to know more details, we will have to wait a while, since the prototype version will not be officially presented for another year.
