The common purchasing organization allows PSA to improve its economic results

Automotive News

In the medium term, purchases will account for 30% of the synergies derived from the integration of Opel / Vauxhall in Groupe PSA
This new organization, which will group the purchasing entities and the quality of the relationship with the suppliers of Peugeot / Citroën / DS (PCD) and Opel / Vauxhall (OV), starts up less than 5 months after the purchase of OV.

The objective of this new organization is to increase the efficiency and purchasing power of Groupe PSA thanks to economies of scale and the creation of value for the benefit of improving competitiveness. In the medium term, 30% of the synergies derived from the purchase of OV by Groupe PSA will come from purchases.

Relations with suppliers will be simplified with the implementation of single interlocutors for suppliers with a significant volume of activity. The new entity will represent an annual purchasing volume of 38,800 million euros in Europe.

This new organization will begin its deployment in January 2018 and involves the joint PCD and OV teams.

With the experience gained in the two joint projects that began in 2013, and in a third that will be released in the first half of 2018, Groupe PSA approaches this new stage with confidence and determination.
