Triumph reveals the first details of the best Speed Triple ever made in Hinckley
The new Speed Triple S and the top of the Speed Triple RS 2018 range, keep intact the DNA of what was the first streetfighter on the market and define a new milestone at the level of power, manageability and technological advances.

The driving modes are activated from the left handlebar pineapple.
The Triumph 1050 cc three-cylinder engine is now equipped with more power, which increases by 7% compared to the previous generation, with 150 HP, while the engine torque is increased by 4%, to 117 Nm. This newly upgraded engine features 105 new components, including: a new lightened crankshaft, Nikasil-coated aluminum cylinder liners, a smaller starter, and a lighter battery and alternator. The newly designed pistons and the new cylinder head with exhaust manifolds optimized to improve gas flow allow a higher compression ratio and power delivery. A new, more open exhaust, a larger catalyst and a lighter collector system together improve the gas flow in both models. The redesigned high silencers of the Speed Triple S and the lightweight RS series mufflers of the RS greatly improve the sound of the engine.
The new British streetfighters offer a more dynamic driving thanks to superior maneuverability, a modern finish and other technological improvements. Among them we find a panel of five-inch color TFT instruments, ABS systems and traction control optimized for curve thanks to a new inertial measurement unit (IMU) developed in collaboration with Continental in the RS, up to five driving modes ( Road, Rain, Sport and Rider -configurable- in addition to the Track -only in the RS-) and backlit controls that allow access to all functions quickly and easily.
Both models retain the monobrazo swingarm and the double beam aluminum chassis, optimized and stiffer to achieve the perfect combination of tact and dynamic handling. This new generation mounts Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires and the double brake disc with Brembo monoblock radial calipers four-piston M4.34. The suspensions in both models are high performance and fully adjustable for road and track use: Öhlins on the RS model and Showa on the S version.
