Automobile registrations in the French market reached a volume of 107,455 units last August, a 9.4% growth compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the French Automobile Manufacturers Association (CCFA).
In the first eight months of the current year, deliveries of passenger cars and off-road vehicles in France stood at 1.39 million units, a 4.2% increase compared to the figures for the same period of 2016.
The best-selling brand on the French market in the eighth month of the year was Renault, with deliveries of 18,092 units, up 8.7%, ahead of Peugeot, with 18,011 units, up 10.8%, and Citroën , With 9,620 units, 1.9% more.
Between January and August, Renault also led sales in France, with 272,959 units, up 2.3%. The podium was completed by Peugeot, with 242,995 units, up 7.1%, and Citroën, with 139,649 units, 3.7% more.
