Our Uniraid Dirty Irons Solidarity Rally Team tells us their experience
JG Automotive NewsThe student team formed by Antonio and Alejandro from Uniraid Dirty Irons Team, supported by JG Automotive give us a summary of their experience-adventure for Morocco in this solidarity rally that concluded last week.
“On behalf of the team supported by JG Automotive, we have delivered and installed a solar panel in a camp in Erg Znigi, adding this project to some existing ones such as the construction of wells and palm plantations. The objective of this camp is to offer nomadic populations of the area a refuge and water Dirty Irons Team collaborated with 130 KG of solidarity material, which include toys, clothes and footwear for children, school supplies, stuffed animals … However, there was much more material, which was not possible. transportation to Morocco for space in the car, which was donated (52 kg) on behalf of the team to Cáritas, in the parish of Nuestra Señora de la Moraleja.
Other teams carried out ambitious and interesting projects, such as the creation of a sewing workshop for the Women’s Association of Vega, or the creation of several computer classrooms in schools in the area.
In this edition, considered the most supportive, the amount of material put at the disposal of the association of Kerrounea was spectacular, touching the 10 Tons. Part of the delivery took place in Rich’s camp, to the families who came there. The delivery is made to this association, since it has signed agreements and permits to allow the entry into Morocco of several tons of this material.
To all the above mentioned is added what the teams personally distribute during the long stages in the most disadvantaged populations of both the Atlas and the south of Morocco.
It is therefore, that, year after year, Uniraid grows. The impact is greater the more participants there are, but also, more and more frequently, the universities themselves sign agreements for students to develop their projects at the end of the degree or even, the project is validated as practices. ”
From JG Automotive we thank you for the effort and enthusiasm for the delivery of all this material and the help that you have shared in solidarity with these most disadvantaged people of southern Morocco.
