740 horses, 0 to 100 km / h in 3 seconds and a top speed of 350 km / h … and all these ingredients in the open. This is the Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster, the bet of the Italian brand for the Frankfurt Motor Show.

“The Aventador S Roadster delivers the thrill of driving outdoors without compromising driving dynamics or occupant comfort, and adds a more luxurious dimension through the customization options available,” said Stefano Domenicalli, CEO of Lamborghini.

The roadster picks up all the technology and the V12 engine of its brother Coupé. Rigid ceiling panels are removable. Finished in carbon fiber – predominates in the car – they are designed in order to offer maximum space to the occupants and maximum aerodynamics.

The rear window is activated electrically with a button for those who want to enjoy the roar of your engine. While closed in a homeless driving, the window minimizes cabin noise and airflow.

The suffix ‘S’ brings to the Aventador Roadster four-wheel drive, a new active suspension or the driving mode Ego, which allows the driver to set the preferred criteria in each mode to suit his driving style. Strada, Sport and Corsa, complete the four modes available.

Lamborghini ensures that the steering has been optimized, providing greater agility at low speed and more stability at high speed. The rear spoiler optimizes the aerodynamic balance of the car and improves the front force by more than 130% compared to the previous Aventador.

As we said, its 6.5 liter V12 engine develops 740 horses (the same as the Coupé) with a torque of 690 Nm at 5,500 rpm, coupled to a seven-speed automatic transmission. All this power is transferred to the asphalt with Pirelli P Zero tires and Dione 20 or 21 inch wheels. In addition, it has ceramic brakes as standard.

Ad Personam: personalization to suit the client

That every Aventador Roadster S has a touch of exclusivity is one of the objectives of Lamborghini. Apart from the Ad Personam program, with which each customer can customize the ‘bull’ to his liking, the Italian brand offers five configurations for the interior, with leather and Alcantara in combination, bicolores and various sewing and finishing options. The Roadster, in the images we see, sports a ‘Blue Aegir’ tonality with a white ‘Blue Delphinus’ leather interior.

Its price in Europe is 313,666 euros and the first (and lucky) customers will receive their Lamborghini in February 2018.
