Grupo Antolín, leader in recruitment in 2016 by doubling its workforce

Grupo Antolín, which sells automotive components, was the Spanish company with more than 10,000 workers, the highest growth in personnel between 2015 and 2016, up 51%, according to a study by Statista.

The increase in the Antolin Group’s workforce is explained mainly by the acquisition of Magna’s interior business, which enabled it to double the size of the company.

The statistics portal drew up a list of the 100 Spanish companies (excluding banks) in which the number of employees increased the most between 2015 and 2016, the ‘Top 100 Companies Spain’.

The ranking of the 100 companies with the highest incomes and more than 10,000 employees is led by Antolin Group, which recorded the highest growth in staff in 2016 compared to 2015. The number of people who worked in the multinational during the previous year increased by 51 %, to 26,845 employees.

The list is followed by Ferrovial, with a 30% increase in the number of employees compared to 2015, with a total of 96,001 workers, and the top 3 is completed by the construction company Sacyr, with 18% more, reaching 26,383 people employed in 2016.

Other notable companies are CIE Automotive, with an increase of 14% and a workforce of 26,083; Gestamp and Seat, both with an increase of their templates of 10% and with 36,395 and 13,968 employees, respectively.

In the seventh place would be Amadeus, with a growth of 8% of the total, reaching 13,881 workers; followed by Pescanova and Inditex, both with an increase of 6%, with 12,345 and 162,450 employees, respectively; Mercadona, with a progression of 5% and a total of 79,000 more employees;

This table is closed by Iberdrola, IAG, Prosegur and ACS, all with growth of 4% and with templates of 28,387, 63,387, 168,120 and 176,755 employees, respectively.
