General Motors (GM) sales in the United States increased by 7.5% in August, the maker said, thanks to a 24% increase in business fleet deliveries.

But GM added that sales to individuals, which reported more profits to manufacturers, also rose by 4% in August.

For brands, Chevrolet and GMC ended the month with gains while the other two names of the group, specialized in high-end and luxury vehicles, Buick and Cadillac, lost clientele.

GMC, specializing in the production of pickup trucks and SUVs, delivered 47,718 units, up 12.4%.

Buick, which produces high-end vehicles, sold 16,811 vehicles, down 22.5 percent.

And Cadillac, GM’s luxury brand, delivered 15,016 units, down 8.1 percent from a year ago.
