Volvo Trucks announces a record deal for more than 2,000 Volvo FH to the Lithuanian transport giant Girteka Logistics. The agreement allows one of Europe’s largest transport companies to grow and renew its current fleet of 3,300 trucks.
Roger Alm, president of Volvo Trucks Europe and Mindaugas Raila, president of Girteka Logistics, met at an official delivery ceremony in Gothenburg.
Girteka Logistics is growing rapidly and trucks will be used to renovate its current fleet of 3,300 trucks and to grow the long-haul fleet in Europe, Scandinavia and Russia.
“We are very pleased that one of the leading operators in Europe chooses Volvo Trucks and continues the collaboration that has lasted more than a decade,” says Roger Alm. “Girteka Logistic continuously improves its operational efficiency and customer service. The agreement highlights their confidence in our products and great customer service included in a partnership with Volvo Trucks. ”
Mindaugas Raila, President of Girteka Logistics, explained the company’s choice: “Our continued investment in Volvo Trucks gives us access to important safety, fuel and emission saving technologies. We have had an excellent Volvo Trucks experience over the last 10 years. This year we have a growth of 25%, and the choice of trucks we operate is crucial as it reveals our commitment to quality to our customers, comfort and safety to our drivers and finally respect for the environment with low consumption engines. However, Volvo provides us with great operational support that ensures market leader Volvo FH a significant presence in the fleet. ”
