Ford sales in the United States fall 2.1 percent in August

Ford said sales to private individuals fell by 2.7% to 164,067 units, while deliveries to business fleets fell by 0.2% to 45,830 vehicles.
But the manufacturer indicated that the F-Series truck sales, its most private vehicle, grew in August by 15% and were placed in 77,007 vehicles.
In addition, demand for the most expensive and expensive versions of the F Series remained strong in August and accounted for 53% of sales to individuals during the month, allowing the average sale price to increase by $ 3,400.
By brands, Ford’s sales totaled 201,189 vehicles, down 2%, while Lincoln’s luxury brand fell 5.8% to 8,708 units.
