BMW beat its sales record up to June with 1,220,819 units, up 5%Automotive News
The German automaker BMW, which includes the BMW, Mini and Rolls-Royce brands, broke a record sales in the first half, with 1,220,819 units sold, 5% more than in the same period of 2016.
The group reported today that the BMW brand improved sales in the same period by 5.2%, to 1,038,030 units, and Mini increased them by 3.6%, to 181,214.
Rolls-Royce luxury vehicle brand also reduced sales between January and June by 6.5% to 1,575 units compared to the same months of 2016.
Motorcycle sales increased by 9.5% in the same period, to 88,389 vehicles.
Sales of electric, BMW i, BMW iPerformance and Mini Electric, grew 79.8% in the first half to 42,573 units.
Sales of the group rose in June by 2.1%, to 232,620 units, compared to the same month of 2016.
