Citroën closes 2017 as a leading brand in Spain in commercial vehicles

The French Citroën was in 2017 the brand that has registered the most commercial vehicles in Spain, where it has obtained a market share of 15.4% and 30,819 units.

The second position went to Peugeot, another brand of the French automotive consortium PSA, which has obtained 15.1% of the market, with an accumulated of 30,095 registrations.

In a note released today, the PSA Group has stressed that, if both results are compared with those of 2016, Citroën has grown by 26.7% and Peugeot by 20.6%.

These increases have been placed above the total market, which has increased in registrations by 15.5% compared to a year before, to 198,821 units.

The source also explained in the note that the “protagonists” of this “exceptional year” were two models manufactured at the Production Center of the PSA Group in Vigo: the Citroën Berlingo and the Peugeot Partner.

Both, and in that order, have been the best-selling commercial vehicles in Spain during the past year, which has led them to accumulate 60,914 registrations, the source said.

Citroën’s range of commercial vehicles is completed by models such as the Nemo, SpaceTourer or Jumpy; while they are part of Peugeot’s Bipper, Expert or Boxer.
