The third time lucky

Alejandra and Ariana win their first final 6-2 / 7-5 against Delfi and Majo at the Estrella Damm Alicante Open.

The morning at the Pedro Ferrándiz Pavilion started with the third title of the season in play. An Open, that of Alicante, to which the two best pairs of the tournament aspired: Alejandra Salazar and Ariana Sánchez, in front of Majo Sánchez Alayeto and Delfi Brea. The first, aspired to his first title after two lost finals against the Marthas. The second, they were released as a couple in this scenario.

From the first moment they showed the four players who were not going to give away any points, who wanted the Estrella Damm Alicante Open in their record. So much so that until 19 minutes into the game, the scoreboard was not going to be inaugurated: the first tight game for Delfi and Majo. However, the rapport between Ale and Ari and their experience in finals, began to be noticed on the track. In an overwhelming way they turned the light, getting the next four games. And although they were going to tighten their rivals, the girls of Manu Martín managed to close the first sleeve by 6-2 in 37 minutes.

Similar was the start of the second set, in which Jorge Martinez and the reaction of Sanchez and Salazar, were not going to wait. Draw on the scoreboard after ten games, with a much more forceful Delfi and Majo that would match the pace of the game. But they were going to prevail then Alejandra and Ariana (7-5), who after two lost finals, raised their first title together in Alicante.
